CPECC is the largest professonal organization which provides the services of electric power planning and study
for the clients from the government, power grid corporations and power plants.

Entrusted by the government, CPECC has taken part in the research and planing of electric power development for the 10th and 11th National Five-Year Plan.

Entrusted by the government and National Grid Corporation, CPECC has taken part in the planning and study for electric power delivery from the West to the East in China. CPECC's proposal of three power delivery carridos respectively in northern, central and southern China resulted in a more reasonable power flow among regional power grids.

Entrusted by the National Grid Corporation, CPECC carried out the engineering research of the grid planning and energy consumption for Three Gorge hydropower station.

CPECC provides engineering consultation, evaluation and post-evaluation service in the field of thermal power, power grid and nuclear power conventional island, for the government, power grid corporations and power project developers. It can also give technical supports to banks and fund organizations through independent review on the loan.

For the last three years, CPECC has completed consultation and evaluation for more than 600 thermal power projects with a total capacity of about 580GW and resulted in a reduction of budgets about 10.3 billion RMB for the clients.

CPECC has completed more than 200 items of consultation for 220kV and above power delivery projects with a total length of 33,500km transmission lines, and 220kV and above substation projects with a total capacity of 206GVA, resulted in a reduction of budgets of 6.5 billion RMB.

Entrusted by Chinese government, CPECC has completed the potential sites investigation and related feasibility studies for nuclear power plants in six coastal provinces and partial interior provinces, and provided technical support to those nuclear power projects in rhe respects of safety and reliability.

CPECC, based on both domestic and international markets and exclusively on the electric power industry, provides power developers with survey and design services. The statistics shows that CPECC has completed the survey and design for up to 60% of power generation, power delivery and substarion projects in China and 170 oversea projects.

The total capacity of the projects for which CPECC has completed the survey and design reaches up to 230GW.

It is worth to be mentioned there, in recent years, CPECC has also undertaken the survey and design for several largest projects with most advanced ultra-supercritical 1,000MW unit(s), i.e. Yuhuang power plant(4×1,000MW), Ninghai power plant(2×1,000MW), Taixing power plant(2×1,000MW), Zouxian power plant phase IV(2×1,000MW) and Waigaoqiao power plant phase III(2×1,000MW). Those power plants are scheduled to be put into operation consecutively in 2008 and 2009.

Besides the large number of 330/500kV transmission lines, CPECC has also completed the survey and design for Guantin-Lanzhou transmission line, which is the first ultra-high voltage 750kV transmission line in China. This line
was put into operation in 2005 and has been working well.

CPECC is the pioneer company that performs electric power project supervision in China. It has strong technical force and many high qualified supervisors, makes full use of advanced integrated computer-aided management system to carry out the project supervision and the construction management.

CPECC has provided supervisory services for more than 300 projects, including 141 large-sacle coal-fired power plants, 7 gas turbine power plants, 63 substations, 40 power transmission lines, 5 FGD projects and 40 civil building projects.

For Waigaoqiao power plant project phaseII (2×900MW), CPECC has provided whole-process supervision service from preliminary design stage to commissioning stage. By using P3 and MIS at the site, the project quality, cost, schedule and safety were well controlled by our supervisors.

As an engineering and construction general contractor, CPECC takes the lead in doing EPC projects in domestic power market. It has the capability to implement projects of EPC, E or EP, in accordance with international practice. CPECC creats great value for clients through effective control of schedule, quality, cost and safety.

CPECC has completed more than 150 EPC projects ranged coal-fired power plant, gas turbine power plant, convertional island of nuclear power plant, substation, transmission line and civil building etc..Through the excution of those projects, CPECC has trained and formed a professional team with high level of design, construction management, quality and cost control, and has won the trust of clients.
